Sports (Mixed Martial Arts – MMA)

The Sports Development Federation of India (SDFI) is dedicated to promoting and developing Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) across the nation. Our mission is to identify and nurture young talent from every corner of India and provide them with opportunities to compete and grow at State, National, and International levels. SDFI believes in building a strong sports culture that encourages discipline, respect, and excellence through the spirit of martial arts.

State Level Programs

At the state level, SDFI organizes MMA championships and selection trials across various states and union territories. These events aim to discover emerging athletes and give them a competitive platform to showcase their skills. Selected fighters from each state move forward to represent their region in the national championships. Through state-level tournaments, SDFI ensures that every athlete—regardless of background—gets an equal opportunity to rise.

National Level Championships

The National MMA Championship is one of the most prestigious events organized by SDFI. It brings together top fighters from all states to compete for national recognition and ranking. Our national-level programs also include professional coaching workshops, referee and judge certifications, and advanced training camps. These initiatives help raise the standard of MMA across India and prepare athletes for international exposure.

International Level Programs

SDFI proudly represents India in various international MMA competitions and federations. We collaborate with global MMA organizations to ensure Indian athletes get world-class exposure and opportunities to compete on the international stage. Our goal is to make India a leading name in global Mixed Martial Arts by promoting skill, discipline, and sportsmanship. SDFI continues to train and send athletes abroad for international championships, ensuring our fighters bring pride to the nation.
